Dr. Yvonne Kleinke

Dr. Yvonne Kleinke studied law at Julius-Maximilians-Universität in Würzburg and at Université de Caen (France). Next came her clerkship at the Kammergericht [state-level supreme court] in Berlin, with stints at the publishing house Berliner Verlag and a law firm specialized in media and copyright law, amongst others. At the same time, she was a research assistant at the Institute for Criminal Law and Computer Law at the University of Würzburg (Prof. Dr. Ulrich Sieber) for several years.

Her doctoral thesis in 1998 focused on copyright aspects of the use of newspaper articles in media databases. From 1996, lawyer for press, copyright and media law, as well as labor law at the law firm Dr. Johannes Weberling in Berlin. Lawyer at the firm Schertz Bergmann Rechtsanwälte from 2008 to 2011, mostly in the areas press law and freedom of expression. In March of 2011, she joined the team at Moser Bezzenberger Rechtsanwälte, and reinforces the firm in the fields of press law and freedom of expression, as well as copyright, competition and labor law.

Dr. Kleinke is a specialist lawyer for copyright and media law. She is a member of the Specialist Lawyer Committee for Copyright and Media Law at the Rechtsanwaltskammer [bar association] Berlin. Furthermore, she is a member of the management board and the treasurer of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Geistiges Eigentum & Medien in the DAV [Work Group on Intellectual Property & Media at the German Lawyers Association].
